Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Honey! Let's move to Boston after I finish my undergrad!!

I fully support this plan and wish to subscribe to its newsletter. Simmons is an awesome school! Also, you should move to Salem. Lower rents PLUS not being stuck in the suburbs.

In less awesome news, Tom's mom's social worker sent us an alarmed and pissy sounding email, informing us of the decline that we knew would happen, which is why we asked them to start the guardianship process months ago, but they didn't.

Can we substitute "someplace warm and sunny all the time" for "Boston"?

Nothing against the Bean-Town, just tired of snow and shit.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Also, you should move to Salem.

The Salem apartment ads on Craigslist are cracking me up! They're all for complexes with pools and gift card move-in specials!

But ya know what I saw on the Boston CL that I don't see on Ann Arbor's?

Jobs. So that right there.....

Simmons is actually one of the schools I would give my left tit to go to.

All is well that ends in pizza.

ION, I have discovered that I have an inordinate nostalgic fondness for Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler." (He's playing the Emerald Queen Casino, and they just showed the ad between innings.)

You never count your money when you're sitting at the table. There'll be time enough for counting when the dealings done..

Early Kenny Rogers rocked.

Early Early Kenny rogers Psychedelic rocked:

(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

I woke up this mornin with the sundown shinin in
I found my mind in a brown paper bag within
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in
I watched myself crawlin out as I was a-crawlin in
I got up so tight I couldnt unwind
I saw so much I broke my mind
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

(yeah, yeah, oh-yeah, what condition my condition was in)

Someone painted april fool in big black letters on a dead end sign
I had my foot on the gas as I left the road and blew out my mind
Eight miles outta memphis and I got no spare
Eight miles straight up downtown somewhere
I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in

I said I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in Yeah yeah oh-yeaaaaaah

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, and, late to the job talk party but I wanted to add that there's a lot to be said for having a job that you can put your heart into while you're doing it and leave behind (for the most part) when you're not in the office.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

but at least I have the energy to do schoolwork, enjoy my home, my husband, and my life outside of work as much as possible. Not to say there's stuff here that doesn't anny the shit out of me on a regular basis. But it's much easier to shrug it off.

This? This right here? Is what I need to find.

I had a dream the other night that I as talking to Boss and when I smiled at him, one of my teeth BROKE OFF. Bleeding everywhere. I tried to go to my dentist to fix it and he couldn't because he lost his DDS because he was convicted of some wierd sex crime and then my dad tried to drive me home and we drove off a parking structure. A job should not do this to you and haunt your dreams and shit.

Yeah, I never have job nightmares anymore. Sometimes the cast of characters will randomly find there way in to populate dreams, but no job stress dreams. Thank god.
