Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Anyone here?

I'm the only person awake in the house right now. For the past 8 hours or so, I've been dealing with some kind of 24-hour stomach bug or food poisoning. I think I maybe sorta am starting to feel better, and I was so thirsty I couldn't sleep, so I tiptoed downstairs and am very slowly sipping a glass of water to see if it will stay down. Ugh. Stupid stomach. I hope I'm recovered enough by tomorrow to go to the game.

Hm, I wonder if anything is on TV at 6:15 on a Sunday...

I'm here, Susan....for a few more minutes, anyways. I must shower and pack soon.

t waves at vw

It's sorta spooky, being the only one awake like this while it's still dark out.

I totally know what you mean! When we said goodbye to my brothers and SIL this morning, the hotel was SO quiet (it was 5:45 a.m.)...creepily so.

Of course, I keep expecting someone to come blow up the place since there's also a kids beauty pageant going on here, which is also QUITE disturbing.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm here. Just finished paying (well, making installments on) various bills and am now gagging over the prospect of having to ask my dad for more money when I see him today. I'll happily trade all that for your stomach bug anytime!

Oh, JZ, how frustrating. Hang in there, girl.

Yeah, at least this will probably be over soon. So far I don't seem to be relapsing just from drinking water, so I'm thinking when DH and AB wake up, I'll send them for gatorade. And then, maybe this afternoon I can attempt applesauce and saltines!

I have another interview for another job tomorrow--much less than ideal, but definitely doable. I kind of gave myself a mental holiday last week from worrying about money issues, which was lovely for my mental health but has done nothing for the money issues.

I'm sorry your extended family was so weird at the wedding. You've accomplished so much; it's got to be so frustrating that the people who ought to be closest to you are the ones who don't see it.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Next question...is there a more specific word for "silently referenced"? The context is that there are passages from the Bible that are referred to in the piece, but not directly.

Alludes to?
