YES YES YES. Brown = neutral color. All colors go with brown. My current favorite combo is brown/teal or brown/turquoise.

This scheme seems to be all the rage. The hotel about 6 blocks from me is currently remodeling and every room features this color set, with a sort of dull melon and a muted spring green sprinkled about. It's quite nice, and I suspect it will age gracefully.
