SJ, we have oil heat. One delivery lasts us several months, though the $700+ was a bit of a wince this time around.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
You could send them a C&D just for fun.
That would be fun. Especially if I got to see his face.
I had oil heat in Ontario. No big, except that you do have to shell out more up front, and you want to keep an eye on usage somehow or else it'll run dry on the coldest day of the year.
I don't think it's near enough of a downside to outweigh your positives, but it won't be me doing the moving, so...
It looks like with all of the companies out here will let us do a budget plan over a 10 month period, so hopefully we won't have any huge payments all at once. The real estate person suggested we do regular deliveries instead of as needed, so that we didn't have to worry about running out.
Adding to the Pro list are washer and dryer in the kitchen! And storage in the basement.
That is sounding better and better.
Woe. Pizza place I just discovered has online ordering (allegedly) but not right now.

That's a good idea, sj. It's apparently Not Good to run completely dry, or that's what I was told.
Also, yay (possible new) apartment!

That's what I figured too. TCG is very responsible but also very busy, and I am so the type of person to run out of oil in the middle of February.
sj, it sounds great! As long as the oil company has a monthly plan thingie so that the cost is spread out throughout the year, it should be do-able.
It's been almost 4 months since I moved in with The Boy, and I'm still trying to get the hang of How We Spend Our Evenings. Given my druthers, I'd read or waste time online or watch TV. The Boy, on the other hand, devotes a lot of time to endless tinkering.
You'd think this would be fine, because then I can read while he's busy with the tinkering. But then I go to bed WAY before he does (his ADD-induced second wind kicks in around 10:30, right around the time I'm thinking in the general direction of bed), and it makes me feel guilty, like I should be spending Quality Relationship Time with him instead of reading while he tinkers.
I guess I'm afraid that we're roommate-y rather than relationshippy. But then, I *know* we're relationshippy. I guess what it REALLY is is that I don't have anything to compare this to; this is the first time I've ever lived with a boyfriend/lover/houseboy.
So, let me ask -- married folk/people living in sin: does it feel roommate-y sometimes? Or is there a roommate-like aspect? Is this normal?
It is absolutely roommate-y at times. I came home from class and grocery shopping, dropped the groceries by the fridge and came up here. It (and you) are totally normal. Promise.
Per month?
Oh, sorry. As others have said, a delivery should last you more than a month. The apartment really does sound great.
