Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks again Laga. Your effort in contacting your mom and her words really helped get me unstuck from my panic about what horrible things this client might try to reign on me if I didn't give her what she wants.
I realized that, if I responded as if I was afraid of her, THAT would end up inspiring horrible things.
My response was framed much like your mom's suggestion. Very short and succinct.
If the third no doesn't do the trick, I will ask to speak to her lawyer. The fact is, I never heard anything that would prove her case so, yeah, unlikely to do any good.

Thanks Hon.
eta: dyslexia can be so much fun. I thought this said "PICKS up"...even after I cut and pasted it! I had this image of you stepping out from behind me and going all Louisville on the wench. But no. PACKS does not equal PICKS.
Dang. I must be tired. Time for bed.
bonny, Mom will be so glad to hear she helped.
Scrappy, your niece is in S and my thoughts tonight. I know the recipients of her organs will be very grateful.
Totally.
In fact, before I came here, I was thinking about calling one of my old supervisors. Just having contact with someone who understands these things, however inblisival that contact may be, really helped me to feel less adrift.
Please tell her I said thank you...both for the words and for the quick response.
And thank YOU for thinking of doing it.
I think it's in Mom's nature to help. She's the only person I know who can talk to a complete stranger in the grocery store, get them to stop yelling at their kid, and make both the stranger and the kid feel better.

She's clearly a gift. I aspire to being able to do this.
Kristin, that picture is heart-melty.
Is. So. True. Thank you so much for posting it, as it makes me as happy to see that snugglefest as ... as... nope, there's nothing comparable. It is in a category of its own. Heart's ease.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Scrappy. Much hugs and ~ma to your whole family.
