Meanwhile - thank you very much to those of you who were all pep-talky about my weight stress. Sorry to have been all venty here - Saturday was a bit miserable, really, but I'm good again. (I think it would be a different kettle of fish if I were living in the UK, incidentally - when I went back at Christmas it was SO cheering to see other big lasses! Whereas here, with US Size 4-6 being pretty much standard girl size, one does rather look like one has eaten a local. Le sigh.) Anyway, am now feeling considerably more chipper. (And as of this morning, have lost 26lb.)

So, strangely enough, I was (tentatively) asked to MC the Masquerade at a local con in October.
The guy who asked me saw me onstage, like, 9,000 years ago, but said he "likes my stage presence".
I hope I still have stage presence. I think I may have sold my stage presence in a yard sale 5 years ago.

I suppose watching QVC isn't any weirder than watching the Preview channel for an hour because it was more interesting than any of the other channels.
