Happy belated adorable day to Pete!
Happy Easter to those that celebrate. We were going to my mother's, but she is sick so we are having an unplanned Easter dinner here. There is candy. There are pretty eggs.
Lovely Fay, what they all said. I understand the feelings. They are not reasonable or rational, but real. I wish you could see yourself as we see you.
The timing is an odd thing. I was raised in New York and attended university in Richmond, VA. DH#2 was raised in Florida and attended university in Richmond at the same time. We wandered the same campus for a year or so and never met. I was doing other things and wasn't looking; he was doing lots of other people. We met in Florida 10 years later and were surprised that we hadn't found each other earlier. If we had met in Richmond we likely would have disliked each other.
I am trying to finish up this policy paper I need to get out before tomorrow and I am completely distracted by the delicious smell of the scalloped potatoes with goat cheese and garlic that is currently cooking in my oven. I can't concentrate! Mmmm, 4 hours till dinner.
Tom isn't feeling well which is unfortunate.
Oh! Finally reaching the end of Natter and I see Nilly's mention of 2 Buffista Birthdays.
Happy Birthday to Raq!
Happy Birthday to Kathy A.!
Yay! I hope you each have a lovely day.
Raq and roll! Happy birthday Raq and Kathy. It's a gorgeous day around here...perfect for gorgeous buffistas!
my sister showed up at the barn this morning to surprise us. She's making asparagus and mushroom omelettes!
Happy Birthday Pete - or was that yesterday?
Laga - what an excellent sister!
I don't know what I thought my bro would say...I just didn't bank on his unfailing urge to turn everything back to himself.
Happy birthday, Raq and Kathy, and happy day after your birthday, Pete!
The lamb cake had an unfortunate case of head being separated from body when I took it out of the mold. However, toothpicks and lots of frosting reattached it.
The cake looks slightly pink, due to bits of red velvet cake smearing in the frosting. But the judicious over-application of coconut seems to have made it very faint. I'm hoping no one notices until they cut it.
