Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh yeah, the Oscars!!
I just had the executive assistant in here bitching about the strangers who were here for a meeting. People are really outrageous -- she had to kick someone out of the CEO's office!
I have three concerts to sing in.
The Big White: world’s most perfect apartment
It's... white. Very very white. With awesome lighting....
A half-million dollar watch for the rich and foolish
Nope, not with precious metals or gems. It's also ugly.
Instead of an Oscar Party, we are having a family with a toddler over to watch Wallace and Gromit Academy Award-Winning shorts. There may be tiaras and popcorn.
I want to go to flea's house! (also - hi flea!)
- do some house stuff in Baltimore Saturday & Sunday
- dinner at Ding How on Saturday night (I cannot tell you how much chinese food near us sucks. though d can second me on that)
- watch some Oscars. watch people say things like "thank dog the writers are back!" over and over again because the writers write that for them to say.
- put together some story proposals that I have been running away from doing, despite really wanting to do them.
- get together documents for a couple freelance jobs I just bagged (yay! hooray! dance dance dance)
- snuggle with my snow-bunny kid and her dad.
I ate a whole bag of gummi colas. they are like crack for me. I eat them even after I feel sick. like I just did. mmmmrrrfff.
my vaca days got approved. WHEE.
choco-chip cookie: this just came up on the Philly news - Site lets Fans Track Web of Celebrity Connections ... seems familiar, this www.fancast.com, but I can't place it. Most amusing though (aside from the name they gave their database [bob]):
The Fancast site is still in its "beta," or development phase, but is available on the Internet. Cottrell said Comcast is adding new features each month.
And, Moore said, "Bob keeps learning about celebrities." Fancast engineers asked Bob to rank the most important people in Hollywood of all time, based on many things, including box-office numbers, awards they have won or been nominated for, and people with whom they have worked. No. 1 was Woody Allen, No. 2 was Jessica Lange, and No. 3 was Henry Mancini.
Tom Cruise was No. 5,986, and Britney Spears was No. 45,196.
This weekend I am taking a nap, watching some TV, attending a meeting, making parmesan-garlic pita chips, watching something from Netflix, watching the Oscars, and generally being as unproductive as physically possible.
Going to movies on Saturday if the DH and I are both feeling healthy. Sunday, going over to friends to have the traditional Oscar dinner of Popeye's chicken and cheer and scream for my friend Nancy!!! Best screenplay, y'all. Fuck Diablo Cody and Tony Gilroy and all the resta those chumps. Nancy Oliver all the way!
