Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Kat, you should invite us all to a moving party and whoever is still there at the end gets to stay for the birthday shindig.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

HA! Aurelia, that's hysterical...

The other issue we are finding is that for Grace to be at her birthday party, we need to bring the party to her. But her room doesn't have much space. There is an activity room, which isn't workable because then there would need to be staff assigned individually to her. There is a family room which is small, but might be workable. So i think the Grace portion of the party will be very very limited.

Though of course, anyone who wants to regularly visit Grace need only ask. We love people visiting her.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have lots of schlepping experience.

This is our first move in ever that we had schlepping help. We have moved so many of our friends, but we never had help with our own moves. It was nice. We fed him nice dinners.

(eta: Now I'm posting from my laptop! Whohoo! If I had the car at home now I'd go driving around to see if I could post from the road. But I don't, and I'm wearing down the SO's battery. Seems like they should let it charge from the USB, but what do I know? Anyway, off I go to break down boxes, launder, dishwash, put away bins. But I will be back! For lo, I have the internets again!)

Liese, you can come and help us!

Sigh.

Almost all of the clothes are in the consignment inventory. I need to print tags and hang everything. I have $800 in the inventory (due to multiple breast pumps, a stroller and a lot of other crap). It's worth it, but ugh. It's work.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'd be happy to!

Yeah, that is work, but will pay off.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for houses, Liese and Kat!! Although, at this point, a bigger YAY for Liese, posting from the new house!!!

I just had a really expensive yet delicious birthday dinner with a friend, and her friends, some of which I don't understand why she's friends with them. Overall good, though.

Oh, come on kids! Don't be stupid!

A graduate of Loyola University Chicago was arrested Monday after he was observed on the Rogers Park campus with a disabled gun he had signed out of the theater department, Chicago police said.

The incident occurred about 2:20 p.m. when a student in school's student union reported that the man was "displaying a prop gun used in theatrical productions," Officer JoAnn Taylor said.
