A co-worked of DH's figured out that he needs to claim 9 to exactly owe nothing and get nothing back on his tax return. I think it took him years to figure it out.

Absolutely! Whether they have clear ideas of what consequences all of their actions will have is another matter.

I'd say my 8 year old definitely has a sense of moral standards, though she seems to take a looser stand when her brother is involved.
