The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I guess it's a good thing I never bring any personal items to decorate my cube.

If you want, I could send you a care package of cube decor that would almost certainly keep strangers from sitting at your desk. How do you feel about taxidermy and/or specimens in sealed jars of formaldehyde?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I realize that PBS as antidote to "there's nothing on" is my particular solution.

Discovery Channel does that for me, with PBS running a close second.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How do you feel about taxidermy and/or specimens in sealed jars of formaldehyde?

Especially if the animals have giant tumors or other deformities....

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yay! I've now got a partial snow day. I'm still not impressed with the volume of snow we've gotten, which is fine by me, but I'll still take the early dismissal any way I can get it.

Also, Sophia, did you see The Riches or Mad Men?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

And how do boys watch tv with "technical skill?"

Oh, you see, boys then take apart the tv to see if there's really little people inside, acting out BSG. And then they learn how to build televisions.

Girls watch teevee and then go online to squee about hotties, presumably using websites either designed by boys who did it with perl or html, or by girls who design them using frontpage.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Or, you know, girls go online and

  • learn how to write better by interacting with a community of supportive, intelligent, talented writers
  • learn how to think critically by watching other people exercise their spicy brains
  • form communities of like-minded, cool, funny people
  • write fanfic and post it to archives that run on software designed by, hosted by, maintained by, and paid for by women.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am taking notes! Thank you Frank-- I just finished Mad Men the week before last-- it was very good, but I haven't seen The Riches, and it seems to be available on iTunes!
