I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIBKITTY!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Libkitty!

Tivo gave me last week's Nature and this week's Independent Lens. Last week's nature gave me the news that Key West is overrun with feral chickens.

Hee.

Feral Chickens. (Somebody warn David Boreanaz.)

(Independent Lens gave me a doc on the Ramones - so far excellent.)

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Happy Birthday, libkitty!!!!!

I LOVE the Noah & Grace birthday pics. And Kat, that backyard is an awesome space for a kid.

So mom is back from a week with the grandkids. Apparently, T is taking lessons from the cats. When he wants to get your attention, he crawls up and headbutts you.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am so overwhelmed by packing. All the books and snowglobes are packed, as are the DVDs and DVD player.

I just cleaned out all the drawers and filing cabinets, and have so far thrown out two hefty bags of paper and assorted trash. Thousands of pieces of paper from fundraisers and parties.

And my bed is still covered with paper.

I'm sorting into piles, and putting back into the filing cabinet which I figure I can tape closed and move.

The kitchen is next weekend.

So overwhelmed, and also hungry but I have no spare cash on me to order takeout.

Still have to do a load of laundry before I can think about taking a hot shower. I just want to stop and make a plate of spaghetti. I wish there was two of me.

Make a plate of spaghetti. It'll make everything a little less overwhelming.

Signed,

Queen of Overwhelmed and Forgetting To Eat and AHHH!

I was a mess yesterday. Until it occurred to me to eat something at 4:30 pm. I was still a mess, but for better reasons than my body cannibalizing itself.

My brother will likely get his PhD in 2008, cancer research. How fucking cool is that?! A lot of mice have been sacrificed for this, but he's got the highest success rate of giving mice brain tumors without killing them in the process, as well as drawing aortal blood without missing, in the lab.

My eldest nephew wants a naked (hairless) mouse for a pet. This is a downfall of my brother's career and habit of taking his kids to work.
