I was confused by my first text message but I caught on quickly. I just texted my roommate. It's great because we can communicate stealthily while he's waiting tables.

I don't like Facebook, and the longer I go without logging in the less I want to. I didn't have texting on my phone plan, but I just added it because my brothers use it and I'd rather not have to pay per message for them if I'm forced to use it.
I was all relaxed after a massage and facial with my mom, and then I came home to discover the dog had chewed through a corner of her crate and destroyed it. WTF.
Happily, I had an ALL METAL crate in the garage, left over from the old dog. I think she will not like it as much. I just wish I knew why she'd freaked out: she's never done that before.

Hmm - I kinda had to buy this from the used baby sale.
Jilli! Jack Skellington baby!
I lump Facebook and Myspace together in the DoNotWant corner of my universe. My new roommates have brought MySpace into the house. It's the only thing I don't like about them.

Also, puppy v. cat. [link]
Did the puppy make it???
Heh. This cat is NOT getting out of the dog's bed, damn it.
ETA: Oh dear, Noah as Jack Skellington has killed me ded with cute.
I've been using it to keep up with her wedding plans, and when we talk about AB being a flower girl, half of it is on my page and half on Rachel's, and it's just so disjointed compared to if we were doing it in email and it was all neatly threaded in my gmail account as God intended.
You can use Wall to Wall and it will separate them out for you--if you want to have the conversation in public. You can have threaded private conversations just like gmail would track, pretty much, if you send her messages.
The reason I can't accept Facebook as a substitute is that the messages are out there. With email, I have the messages locally stored and I can work offline. Maybe I'm a dinosaur for assuming I won't be able to be online 24/7 (no matter how much I might want to be), but there you go.
I'm perfectly comfortable with my current online presence. Which is like, here and lj, which I mostly use to just read.
I have a cell. I use it as an alarm mostly. It's pretty much for travel or when I fear my car is going to break down. I get text messages. Well, I've gotten them. My brother once and the one time I called lori when she was in a meeting. But I don't write them.
I'm a luddite, really. New things? Ew.
