the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Hivemind question: do you text from your cell phone? Why or why not?

Only with The Boy. And the only reason we text is because he's nowhere near a computer during the day, so we can't e-mail.

Do you think texting is becoming increasingly popular?

I assume so, based on what the media tells me that Kids These Days like.

Sometimes, esp. when I'm stuck somewhere for ages with no computer access. (Ask Cass. She gets the brunt of my bored texts.)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Last time I moved, I gave the tenant replacing me my cell number, so I could drop of keys etc., and she texted me instead of calling me, and I was like What did you doooooooo?

And that was when I looked behind me and noticed my dinosaur tail. It was a big moment.

I wonder if incoming college students will be all over the texting soon.

At this point undergraduates complain when you use e-mail for courses. They say "E-Mail is for old people!" According to them, you should communicate by texting and via your Facebook page.

texting is mobile IM.

yeah there's really no difference (except for me because I don't have a qwerty keyboard on my phone so i'm way slower on it).

I had a student claim he should be excused from penalty for missing a class without notice because he posted it to my assistant's Facebook Page!

I am hearing this from people I work with, too. They literally don't check their email!! WTF.
