Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I say the first looks right. The second seems to me would only be right if there is a monolithic entity called "Department Staff."

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Unless they won't let you--like those bastards at NY Methodist!

That must vary by department, because I saw all of mine. I have the printouts on my desk right now, AIFG!

Oh I'm sure they let you if you are pregnant, that's why that "legal" talk was all bullshit. And actually, I understand the whole "we don't want to scare the shit out of you" argument. But persisting when I clearly knew what the hell was going on? Annoying.

Oh, ugh--I just looked at my flight itinerary for tomorrow closely, and noticed that the plane I'm supposed to take on American is one of those MD-80s that are being inspected right now. From their website, it looks like the flight is still scheduled, but that might change by tomorrow. I hate possible flight cancellation!

hivemind question: trashcan or garbage can?

Both, but I guess I use "garbage/garbage can" more often.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hmm. Trash can for non-kitchen, garbage/garbage can for kitchen. Just because I'm difficult.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday to Noah and Grace and K-bug!

Me, too. Therefore, amych is not difficult, just correct.

Happy birthday Noah and Grace!

Yay, Tivo!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am so sick of home decorating shows in which the designers always paint the walls or pick out furniture that is a "rich chocolate brown" or a "rich caramel."

And it's the whole home decorating channel! Poop is also brown! I do not want poop colored furniture or walls! What colors do the non-autumn people paint?

ARGH.
