Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think Dole said it to Quayle and it was, "I knew John Kennedy and you sir, are no John Kennedy."

Someone (Bensen?) to Dan Quayle in some vp debate. And the person referenced is Jack Kennedy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Not Dole. But it was about Quayle.

eta: x-posty

It was during the 1988 vice-presidential debates, right?

argh. '88.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

No, it was the crazy old guy who was Ross Perot's VP candidate.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

sarameg got it, it was Lloyd Bentsen.

Here's the quote (looked it up) :

Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy: I knew Jack Kennedy; Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy.

(It was Bentsen! How I recalled that, I don't know.)

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

"I knew Jack Kennedy, and, you, sir, are no Jack Kennedy." Lloyd Bentsen said it. It would be impressive, except it was to Quayle, so, you know, duh, right?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That makes sense. The last I heard it was in reference to Gossip Girl (I know Julie Cooper. And you, sir, are no Julie Cooper.)and it has been stuck in my head for days.

Also, a student has a cat in the drama house they are trying to find a home for. I can haz kitty, maybe.... Apparantly she is declawed and spayed, which is good. I mean, I hate declawing in theory and would not do it, but after being attacked by my cat, it is sort of nice for me.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

It would be impressive, except it was to Quayle, so, you know, duh, right?

It would be impressive if it hadn't been completely scripted and rehearsed ahead of time.
