So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Aw, Roland Orzabel so does not belong on that list. He's adorable.

Dude, agreed.

I am fairly certain all the transmen (FTM) I know did not go for the bottom surgery. It's usually just T and top surgery.

(Somehow, I wound up knowing a fair number of fanboys who were born fangirls. Those I've met in person? Totally boys. No question.)

Punishingly Intricate

The problem in NYC is that places I could afford the payments on are mostly co-ops and I'm pretty sure there's no help on the 20% down there.

Yeah, our markets are always going to be pretty different. I was also very lucky to be able to buy and to find a place when I did.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy Allyson day to a woman who is deeply generous, hilariously snarky, adorably cute, impressively talented and in all ways more wonderful than she gives herself credit for.

Happy Birthday, Allyson!!!!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALLYSON!!!!! May you get to go home ASAP.

The Great Whites hanging out at the Farallones is part of the reason why, despite my oft-stated desire to learn how to surf, I haven't actually taken the proverbial plunge. I tempt fate often enough, I have no desire to become shark bait.

What Scrappy said!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

in general, who takes a sharp knife to the crotch in the absence of necessity?

You're talking about people who've had their breasts sliced off and are embarking on scary pills. I'm thinking they see necessity. That ain't play.

My FTM cousin said he hadn't had bottom surgery because there was no point yet. For a while he was considering going into biomechanical engineering to see if he could help out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My FTM cousin said he hadn't had bottom surgery because there was no point yet.

I can see that.

I just got to talk to one of my favorite work-related people. She's always enthusiastic about things! And doesn't create bullshit work for me. I wish everyone could be like her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Allyson! I hope you catch up on your treats this weekend.

That would make for a very small and anxious criminal population.
