It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

So I was just roasting a steak, in a way that is supposed to cut down on the smoke produced b/c I don't have great ventilation, and I think someone called the FDNY. They came to the building but maybe didn't figure out it was me. I opened the windows and turned off the stove and now the steak is just sitting in there. But come on. It smells like steak, not smoke!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My cat has long hair. Sometimes she gets bits of cat poo stuck in her fur by her butt. What should I do?

Because books.

That used to happen to our Puck, tommy, when he was sick, usually, and having really loose poops. If she can't clean, you have to, or she might start dragging her butt on the floor. It's not (or never was for us) a one-person job, though.

Oh, you so had a hairless/ hair impaired cat before, tommy! In any case, it's sort of a hazard of some longhairs even when they are healthy. You can always shave/ clip her butt.

Good luck! (snorking heartily. As someone victim to too much poo considering she doesn't have kids.)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Martha Stewart had a segment on her show today about medicating pets.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a hairless or Rex-ish kitty, but then this poor kitty was not getting along with her housemate kitty Einstein (who had not inherited his namesake's pacific tendencies)....

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My brother wants me to help with my niece's memorial service, which is Saturday. He'd like me to suggest some some readings, hopefully of authors/books she liked. Anyone know any passages from The Kite Runner or Basketball Diaries which might work? Or anything from Anne Frank other than "People are basically good"?

Some amazingly beautiful watches: [link]

Except all the diamonds make them too bling-ish for my tastes....
