Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am so sorry Scrappy. Much love to you and your family. You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Scrappy, I am really thinking of you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, Scrappy. I'm so sad for (and with) all of you.

I'm lighting a candle for you and your family tonight, Scrappy. I'm so sad for you all.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Scrappy, I'm so sorry. I'm glad you have the small comfort that her organs will help others live longer and better lives.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Peace through this transition, scrappy.

What makes a cheque a cheque? What's the minimum amount of information required to make the piece of paper redeemable for money at a financial institution?

I just slammed up against huge passive aggression in the meeting from hell. Luckily it's only 2 or 3 times per week, but I guess that's why it ran two hours today. I am so not supposed to be the motivated one. That's when you know the ship is drifting.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I had execrably bad handwriting in prep school, and we were tested on it. I then went on to take up calligraphy and had a number of different handwritings, but that's fallen by the wayside.

I chose this route too. I've settled on a handwriting style with some Arabic influences and I've redesigned a couple of letters I had real trouble with. On a good day I think it's really quite stylish. On a bad day, apparently I've perfected my mind control techniques over ant colonies. No. Wait. Apparently I am under the thrall of the mind-controlling ant parasites. On a bad day.

Meanwhile, the calligraphy background has been pretty helpful in learning Chinese characters. So that's nice.

Yeah, I'd spend a lot of time on my weak link letters too, and fashioning alternative forms.
