Seriously, though, it's not like it's not just what I expect from him. But you'd think the hand at least would make him think twice. Ah well, he's gonna do what he's gonna do.

I'm so glad you got the apartment, Allyson.
Scrappy, I am so goddamned sorry. You and you family have my, well, whatever you need. It's heartbreaking.
...
I've grocery shopped, hit Target (since it will be closed tomorrow), procured prescription catfoods and am about to embark on my taxes. Let's just hope I don't swap lines again (I've done it twice before) on the stupid Maryland form.
Scrappy, I'm thinking about you and your family.

brenda, I suspect your father and my grandfather are cut from the same cloth. After I left for college, my mother could never mention any outdoor chores that she was going to do that weekend, because Grandpa would then go ahead and do them, despite the myriad health problems he has. I love that man.

I just spent half of a beautiful afternoon underground, thanks to planned re-routing for subway construction, a miscalculation on my part, and an "earlier incident" that was announced after I had been waiting 15 minutes. Anyway, I did go to Target, so that's something.
I don't think my taxes have ever escaped being sat on by a cat. Luckily, she didn't catch me working on them until I was done with the pencil. She loves killing the pencil as I write.
She's especially fond of planting her butt on form 503.
I've been cleaning and doing work. But it's so nice out that I've got all the windows and the door open, and it's been a pretty nice day despite that.
OMG Jesse - the subways were awful. FYI all - 1 line in Queens was skipping lots of stops in one direction (planned maintenance) - THEN 3 lines lots power and service was stopped in BOTH directions. mac and I got hit twice in the mess and ended up taking buses for part of the to and from the Y. crank grump. Oh and on the bus back home from the Y was a foul-mouthed bigot who kept going on about the filthy f'in immigrants. grrrrr.
It took over an hour each way to and from Target (half hour trip). Also, I literally didn't know the F doesn't stop at Queens Plaza, so that was my own fault, but waiting 20 minutes for the train? NOT ON.
Mostly I'm just glad I didn't have any other plans. And that I had my iPod and book with me.
I'm home from class, having learned stuff and had a pretty good time, considering.
I have no Easter plans, except that I have to finish the website project for my class which is due Monday, so it's probably for the best that I stay in, anyway. Right?
