To be fair, I have heard from scientist friends that we're not absolutely sure the warming trend is due entirely to human industry rather than a natural continuation of coming out of the last ice age. But the actual rise in average temperatures and melting icecaps and such are pretty hard to argue against, whatever their causes.

Sure, but there's a huge gap between "due entirely" and "not happening at all", which is what the more whackaloony whackaloons seem to latch on to.

Hi everybody! I'm supposed to be working, but I couldn't stop myself from peeking in.

Went to visit another local elem school. LAUSD has this crazy system whereby folks like me, who live near a shitty school, try to get into nearby good schools via a "lottery" system. It's insane, and yet here I am, desperate to get my daughter into a decent local school.

WRT that haircut, I've been thinking of cutting my hair short(er), so a bit tempting, but peroxide blonde has never appealed to me. On me, I mean, I like it well enough on others but I think it'd wash me out.
