Happy Birthday Mal!

So, the other day mr. flea dropped a good quality paring knife (Henckels or Wusthof) and the blade broke in half. WTF? And, should we consider taking this up with the manufacturer? The knife was 10 years old; it was a wedding present. But I still don't expect knives to just break like that!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I had a Wusthof chef's knife do just that when I dropped it. The knife was probably close to 10 years old at the time. I was able to take it to be replaced at a Sur la Table store (I had not bought it there) and have it replaced by the manufacturer.

So yes, absolutely take it up with the manufacturer.

Happy birthday, Mal!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Mal!

Happy Vernal Equinox!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The Aerogardens are kind of small, and pot plants are tall, last I checked. Unless there's now a dwarf breed of them, suitable for small spaces and decorative planting, et cetera.

I've had to skip about 700 posts, so just wanted to give my sympathy to Scrappy and her niece.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy Vernal Equinox!

Yay!

And Happy Autumnal Equinox for those south of the equator. Lets not be hemisphereist here....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, maybe it'll be light when I wake up sometime soon??

Happy first day of spring, Buffistas.

Can't say it's especially spring-like today. No, wait, I take that back - cold, rainy, gray and miserable? That's spring in New England all right. There is less gray slush than usual, though, which is odd given the volume of snow this winter.
