HIMYM fans will get a kick out of this, I think:
Some residents worry that too many homes have already been torn down or remodeled beyond recognition. The neighborhood also has the disadvantage of being the product of a number of different designers, unlike some of the areas to the south. But these drawbacks have not stopped the community’s more preservation-minded residents from seeking to keep intact the area they call NoProPaSo (North of Prospect Park South).
Gack! There is just one problem here: Absolutely nobody on earth calls Caton Park NoProPaSo except...me. As a joke in the blogosphere. A joke I shared, with broad eye-rolling irony, with a New York Times reporter.
Bwah. (Though as an aside, I'd also never heard it called Caton Park before. I always thought I lived in Kensington.)
Aw, the teefs! I bet you don't look like shit, Kat.
I got a hair cut, but I think maybe not enough off. Now I remember why I got a couple of too-short cuts in a row! Oh well. I do like it, but I'm afraid I'll want to cut it again in like two weeks.
OK, I'm watching a rerun of Gov. Paterson's press conference, and the implication I'm getting is that he started randomly sleeping around because she was having a more serious affair.
TMI, people.
Ugh, hair. Why does it grow?
Ugh, hair. Why does it grow?
compensating for the inevitability that some hairstylist is going to fuck it up?
Ugh, hair. Why does it grow?
So it can get cut! Quit asking questions.
I don't wanna cut my hair! But I don't want it on my head anymore either. It is such a pain.
Cute cut, Kat. Okay, I need to be way less lazy about downloading photos onto my computer.
I FINALLY read the Obama speech. I really like it. I can't recall hearing another politician talk about race in that kind of way. But is it getting any play? Or was it too hard to soundbite?
I have been hearing about the speech quite a bit (not just here) and I did see a clip with a soundbite (did I disagree profoundly?.. yes).
