Let me guess. We're in a hurry.

Because books.

Oh dear. That sounds ... involved, Vortex. Maybe I'll wait and NetFlix. Jumping into Nip/Tuck late in the game was hard enough.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I cannot tell from watching the promos of The Riches how many lies they'll carry over from last season, and how many will be new. But I got irritated with it halfway in and ditched all the rest but the final episode.

I don't know what it with F/X -- I can never remember that they have, like, shows now. So I'm always late catching on.

Maybe I should say I don't know what it is with me, really.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

No advice from here, Juliebird, just sympathy. Ginger, meara, ita and Vortex have good advice, and of course Vortex came through with the diplomatic language, as always. But, ugh, what a miserable situation. That sounds like a crazy-making workload and a recipe for sure disaster.

Stupid bosses with stupid crazy overexpectations. Also, Tuesdays in March are apparently job-toxic.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I found the Riches fairly unwatchable myself, and I love Eddie Izzard.

I really liked it when they weren't trying so hard to be funny. I wish that they had chosen to tell the story straight.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He said, with his sweetest smile on his face, "It says, 'I love you, Mommy!'"

Bwah!

I am not really familiar with Izzard (::waits for Buffista card to be revoked :: ) but I do like Minnie Driver. What I don't need is a show I can't follow that everyone doesn't love, I suppose.

Me too. I admit, I prefer him more in a dress, but aside from that, I didn't like the whole sword of Damocles vibe, and the characters weren't engaging enough to drag me in despite it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I feel almost guilty about my workday, given the bad one others are having. I turned in a big multi-option presentation proposal I've been working on for days, my boss picked the easiest and least convoluted option, and I got to sit back and watch the fireworks as a couple of people I report to at our sister company informed an outside consultant that I do not report to her, and requests for changes should not cut them out of the approval process. (Cue what read to me as a very passive-aggressive "Yes, Massuh!" response—whoo boy, hope I'm carbon-copied on the reply to that one!)
