This might be stupid but where do you find out when you receive your check?
I think they just released it this morning or last night. Direct deposit filers first, then paper check. Within those, it goes in order of the last two digits of your SSN.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I'm currently annoyed because apparently there was an error on my W-2 so I have to wait for my HR department to issue new ones before I can file. (The silver lining is that apparently our local income #s were overstated, so I may be in better shape than I thought for NY taxes, but still, annoying.)
Though I guess it just gives me more time to come up with something to spend it on that carries a good whiff of "IN YOUR FACE GWB" to it. Might be donations, might be tattoos. Maybe I'll get gay married.
Nice! I'm planning on giving part of mine to whoever is the Dem nominee.
Thanks, dcp!

Ooh! Maybe I'll go to Mexico. We hate the Mexicans now, right?
Or Freedomrance! How un-American would that be?
How pathetic is it that I'm super relieved that my minion just put in a leave request for July? (If I were her, I would be looking for a new job already, since she's been here just about a year.)

You know, I would love to move back there, except that I'd be even poorer due to the tanking dollar.
I just realized California didn't take out any social security taxes. What's that about?
I have to file an emended return, since I did a Child Care Reimbursement Accpunt and got a work subsidy for child care, and you're not supposed to do both. Did HR mention this? Nope. Did TurboTax notice this and mention it? Nope. Corporate Payroll caught it just now. 15 months after I started doing it. (Actually I did it in 2006, too, but Corporate Payroll did not notice, and neither did the Feds, so don't tell them.)
I hate the fucking taxes. So much hassle and stress. Even though right now I get all the $$ back, I still hate it.
