Article about Evan Lysacek and Johnny Wier. [link]
In the normally placid enclave of figure skating, supporting either Evan Lysacek the Athlete or Johnny Weir the Artist has become a virtual referendum on matters from skating style and personal style to sexuality itself.
Normally placid? Normally placid? Has this writer followed skating at all in the past few decades?
I wonder if I can find my old Pern fanzines
you know, there's a company that will come out in the dead of night and put entire FLOCKS of pink flamingos in a yard ....
DUDE! This SO goes on the list of things I would do when rich and famous. The list thus far:
- Answer personal questions from the press with rediculous lies and see which ones they were dumb enough to print
- Give my children water pistols filled with ink for paparazzi
I want to see Trudy rich and famous.
Just for the ink pistols part. Brilliant.
Speaking of accents, what is the one Marianne Jean-Baptiste uses in Without A Trace?
Yeah, I don't know what that is. It still feels like she's trying really hard, but it's been years!
Fuck. I got bacon grease on my skirt. I can swap it out for another one, but that means ironing.

Yeah, I don't know what that is. It still feels like she's trying really hard, but it's been years!
I sort of thought it was a character thing, but I have no idea. Is she supposed to be from another country (I hardly watch)?
I am looking for a place to buy/look at these hooded sweatshirts that I see all the city kids wearing here. They have very pretty designs all over them (or some have things like Killer and Death), but they have an all over design, and I am assuming they are fairly inexpensive/downscale because the people I see wearing them are lower middle class, not high fashion. I have no idea what to even call them to look for them, and I have never seen them in a store (keep in mind I shop at plus sized ladies stores, so that might explain it) . Any ideas.
This is my favorite Guinness cake. Nom nom nom nom. [etfc]
Lookit Non!Baby Matilda! When did she become a KID all of a sudden???
I'd try the men's section at Kohl's or Target, at a guess.
ION, if my local newscaster doesn't stop saying "liberry" I'm going to scream. (Also reporting on "local mom wants the liberry to block websites just like the schools do" without any hint that there might be, say, a slightly broader audience in one than the other. At least the statement from the liberry was basically "no can do, next topic?")
Did you know that Woody Allen guest starred on MASH?
No, and I thought I'd seen every episode multiple times (at least up until the last few years it was on when the show declined significantly). Was it early days or latter day MASH? And was it a big part?
It was a very small part. Like one scene. And, I think, it's older, cause it still had Frank. Not a great episode.
