Man, this has been hands-down the worst cold and flu season I can remember. Between having my own personal germ factory (thanks, daycare!) and the flu shot having missed a strain, I've been sick almost every weekend since the fall.
Today the plague has moved decidedly into my chest. I want it to LEAVE.
Yikes!
At least you've got the popcorn.
I opened a couple of windows - to get a nice crossbreeze and it's much, much better. (I also opened the back door - it leads to a common stairwell, and I hope that is also helping.)
I'm hoping it will clear out enough that it won't be nasty when it gets cooler after sundown.
I bought a quart of chicken soup from a deli on Tuesday. It's been in the fridge since then. Think it's still good?
It's still good, Aurelia. Get better!
I've been sick almost every weekend since the fall.
That's what it was like for Emmett's toddler years. And then he changed daycares and we got a whole new germ pool.
On the plus side, I hardly ever get sick because I've gotten just about every freakin' minor cold you can have if you live in NorCal. JZ and Emmett have both gotten much more sick from Matilda than I have this last year. Emmett's missed more school days this year than he's ever missed before, though some were unrelated to Matilda. (Like his earache.)
I like to pop my corn in olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. I skimped and bought the store-brand bag of popcorn kernels last time. Boy was that a mistake. I've never seen such teensy popcorn!
DAMN! I forgot to add HBO to our pay channels!! I need to call immediately so I can catch the rerun.
Jesus. Now a former staffer is claiming he had regular three-ways with the McGreeveys (Gay American former governor of NJ): [link]
Wow, so much for Dina Matos' shock and surprise at the big announcement if that guy's story bears out as the truth. The writing would have been on the wall if McGreevey was bringing handsome college students along for their getaways.
Not necessarily, I know straight (albeit open minded) guys who've done guy-guy-girl threesomes. It's a fantasy of a lot of women.
But I've always suspected that each of their assertions ("she knew everything" "I knew NOTHING") were a bit strongly stated.
