"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Maybe it's the shiny black nail polish I applied last night.

The internets don't have everything:

Hehehe.

I have to admit, I don't get most of the song charts. But then, I can barely remember lyrics of songs I hear all the time, so no surprise.

Today was long. I can't figure out why, but I'm waking up earlier than before the time change. As in, an hour early. Which is like 2 hours early in me time. It's odd.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Today was long.

I had an 8 hour OSHA class.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Today was long.

You win.

Yes, yes, she does.

So she now knows all the ways a desk can kill you?

( I know Allyson deals with scarier issues than that in the labs. But in my line of work, those sorts of sessions are all about ducking falling code manuals and tripping over power cords.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a meeting at the offices of a large company recently, and everywhere we turned were evacuation plans and other safety measures. We were kind of like WTF, but it turns out their industrial plants or whatever had some "issues" a while back, and they set safety as a prime organizational value -- and carried that through the whole company. I thought it was interesting, anyway. (Apparently the plants are very safe now.)

It doesn't feel like winning, though.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oof. Allyson, 8 hours of OSHA is way way way too much.

I'm on day 3 of "cognitive coaching" training.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm too tired to go to bed. Problem.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Today was day 2 of staying home to sleep off the ick.

This morning I was awakened by a threatening phone call. Some woman repeatedly called me a bitch and a tramp, recited my address, and said she was coming to kick my ass.

So very random.
