Despite the news of Rob Thomas and the 90210 spinoff, I just received this:
Network: ABC
Genre: Drama
Title: CUPID
Studio: ABC Studios, Sony Pictures Television
Commitment: Pilot Pick Up
Auspices: Rob Thomas (EP, W-Pilot), Jennifer Gwartz (EP N/W)*, Danielle Stokdyk (EP N/W)*
Logline: A dramatic series that is a re-imagining of the 1998 ABC romantic dramedy about larger than life character who may or may not be the Greek god Cupid, sent to earth to bring couples together.
Just? Wait, is that real news? I already knew he was doing that, but I think he'd just turned in the script. Does this mean they picked it up??
(The 90210 thing is in second position, anyway.)
Okay, two loads washed, folded, and mostly put away. Two more loads in line (one in washer, one in dryer). Daughter would be delighted if I got through some more before we leave because the next load is red/pink, but we'll have to see.
Next is grading. Might not get to cookies, but oh well. I wanted to give them to my students to make a nice send-off before break, but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.
Isaac is waking up. I think I promised the kids we'd make lemonade this afternoon. That'd take care of snack, right?
Timelies all!
Another exciting evening...laundry and tv.
Hee, Kristen, I heard it here first.
Mmm....lemonade.
I don't get half of the song charts because I don't know the songs. But one time when I was looking through those, the funniest thing was the snotty comment on a badly-done chart. Not badly done, it didn't really have the concept right. And someone commented to that effect! The internet makes me laugh.
We had our big work event today, and I knew a surprising number of people there! And also met someone in person for the first time after a number of phone conversations, and like msbelle, she didn't fit the picture in my head AT ALL.

I get an email from TV Tracker every time something gets ordered to script, pilot or series. So, based on this, it seems it's been ordered to pilot. I wonder who they're gonna cast.
The Hollywood Reporter can eat my dust. hee
From the song charts. The internets don't have everything: [link]
I wonder who they're gonna cast.
Yeah, that's the big question. It's hard to imagine it without the original cast, especially since the show's not even that old. Plus, they're moving it from Chicago to L.A. But it could work! I'd be surprised if it weren't ordered to series, given that ABC asked him to remake the damn thing.
The Hollywood Reporter can eat my dust. hee
Totally!
