'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Dear Lord! I picked up some Mucinex at the grocery store last night and they wanted to know my birthdate. Seems it's now a "controlled substance"!

aren't those usually more fun?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I love this one.

That's brilliant.

(I don't know the song for the "Table of Contents" one that Dana linked, or for the "kos" one that Shrift linked.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I don't know the song for the "Table of Contents" one that Dana linked, or for the "kos" one that Shrift linked.

"The Book of Love", by The Magnetic Fields, and "King of Spain", by Moxy Fruvous.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

demonstration of psychological perception

I... watched the video and my screen was too dark even for me to be able to follow the passers dressed in white. The passers dressed in black might all have been moonwalking bears for all I could tell.

My favorite version of this, done on Harvard campus I think, was the one where a person would strike up a conversation with a stranger, two people with a mirror or large object would walk between them, and then when the obstruction was gone, the stranger would be talking to a different person.

I want to say there's also been a version done with people randomly showing up wearing gorilla suits, but that's mostly because I just think that college psychology students would pay cash munny for the opportunity to improve the scientific record while wearing a gorilla suit.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Has this one been posted?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was hoping to find a live performance on YouTube, but no dice. Anyway, King of Spain on last.fm.

GO. LISTEN.
