Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I tell you what - if I was ever one of these public wives, I would NOT go to the damn press conferences. I could give a shit what it appears like that I don't go stand by my man. If he was all that worried about it, he'd've kept his weiner in his trousers.

"Your guy here spent $80k on hookers and you're worried what it's gonna look like that his wife isn't there? I'll tell you what it'll look like - it'll look like a guy who cheated on his wife. And she says, "Eff you"."

Punishingly Intricate

The wife really needs to kick his sorry ass to the curb.

Seriously! And take him for all he's worth.

And re: the $80k.

I understand that these were fancy schmancy hookers, but how did he have TIME to have all that sex??

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The radio people this morning pointed out that Hillary wasn't standing next to Bill when he did his mea culpa news conference. I wish that Mrs. Spitzer didn't, either.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am with you guys. Also, wouldn't most of that have been her money? Am I correct in thinking she's been a fancy lawyer while he's been a public servant?

I read a comment somewhere that Kobe Bryant's wife had it more right: she was at the press conference, but was staring him down like "You motherFUCKER" the whole time.

not your mom's socks.

::pulls up chair::

where's the 80K ref? I just caught something buried in a NYtimes piece about "likes to do things you might consider dangerous" - which seemed very fan-dance for NYTimes - but no $

not your mom's socks.

maybe Silda was urging him to stay on because she was going to enjoy the impeachment.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I was just talking to Boss about the wife at the press conferences thing and he said, "Maybe they need to to protect themselves." and he pointed out that the wife of Detroit's mayor "needs" his money because she had nothing until he was mayor. He even brought up Hillary and said she didn't have her own career at the time. I scoffed and said, "If Hillary had booted his sorry, cheating ass out, she's have a lot more support from women than she has."

Probably too broad a generalization, but seriously. I would admire the wives a heck of a lot more if they actually spoke up and said, "What a jackhole. I'm outtie." than I do when they just stand there, feigning interest but really killing them in their heads.
