What response do you think you'd get to "Why don't I just tell your replacements to do your jobs?"
It is one of those few times I regret managing projects at this stage in my career and not people. But I'd not fit in here as a people manager. As a project manager I just have to remember I will be startled.
Being hired and getting paid kind of implies "Do your job" does it not?
Someone buzzed my apt a little while ago claiming to be from Comcast. I asked who he was looking for (since I don't have cable). Once he learned I don't have cable he started in on some pitch which I cut off. Is Comcast really doing door-to-door sales? Or was this guy just trying to get in my building?

comcast has done door to door sales in my area. However, not by accident, when a new service came out and they carried lots of marketing stuff.
