the whole thing is actually all the fault of the golf lobby. (Er, and not the GILF lobby as I originally typed.)
Hah! I would be happy to blame it on her, too...
Congrats, Allyson, that's awesome!
My vote: pick a freaking time and stick with it.
Growing up in Indiana worked well for that--screw all you crazy time changers! Sadly, now Indiana changes too. Sniff.
Yay Allyson! That is great news. This is long overdue.

Yes, this. I have such a time adapting.
Melted. Finally got a moment to scroll back and check out the photogenic Boo. She is so expressive. Sad lack of cutiehead mom though.
WOOT! That's fantastic, Allyson! Let me know if you need help during the move. I'll have a lot of free time at the end of the month.
Colin's place! He bought a house! And the landlord was stoked that he had someone to move in. So I go over tomorrow night to pretend to inspect the place. It's two bedrooms! With windows on three sides! And a balcony! AND A PARKING SPOT! And it's only 200 more than I'm paying now, and still 200 less than my limit.
OK, first off, congrats MASSIVELY. But this must be an LA thing I don't understand. Is this a house that Colin bought just to rent? And are we talking ita's Colin? If so I'm buying Eureka DVDs for everyone I know.
That's awesome Allyson. And it strikes me that the second bedroom would be handy if you ever decide to A) take in another wayward Buffista; B) want to do a career change or go back to school and decide to take on a roommate.
I am covered in paint, and I have no idea how I am supposed to cut in the top of the wall in my stairwell. I have a feeling this is going to involve precarious perching on a chair on top of phone books.
The loss of an hour's sleep is kicking my ass. I am such a wuss.
(Frank, I read that as: Colin bought a place and is moving out of his rental, so soon-to-be-ex-landlord is happy to have a new tenant. People who actually know things: Confirm/Deny?)
No, Colin bought a house for himself, and is moving out of his apartment. He recommended me to the owner, and she's stoked because now she doesn't have to go through the whole process of advertising and credit checks and all that crap.
I can't wait to start packing and such.
Um, if anyone wants to know what I want for my birthday this month, I'm all about the Home Depot and Target gift certificates. Ima need curtains. And PLANTS! And perhaps a sedative for Ruby who is not gonna like this moving thing ONE BIT. My neighbor agreed to take her when I move so that I can just pick her up when it's done so she won't be so scared.

Oh equally cool! That's just awesome. I found my current place through a somewhat similar happy association, and it does take some of the MOVING TRAUMA (if you are one of those people like me who has it in multitudes) out of the equation.
I can't decide if I should just have some easy snacky food for supper or order in. My kitchen is too messy to cook without cleaning first and I am in the middle of painting, so ordering in sounds good. OTOH, I will feel compelled to change out of painting clothes (15 y.o. T-shirt covered in paint and BRIGHT pink and green Scooby Doo PJ bottoms that are about 4 inches too short). I am torn and geting hungrier by the minute.
