Theo - he's a tool and probably has no friends.

He should be thankful to sit behind you clean and lovely head.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"That's DISGUSTING" he said loudly. "That's unhygienic! Stop doing that!"

That's not disgusting. This is disgusting: When I was in my 9th grade English class, sometimes I would retract the lead in my Eversharp mechanical pencil, run the tip through my scalp and then extend the lead until it pushed out the tiny white cylinder of scalp gunk....

I think I only did that a couple of times. Then I noticed a kid watching me, which made me realize how gross that must look so I stopped doing it.

I've been too ashamed to ever tell that story to anyone. Except to you people....

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Rule 34?

After the talk about crazy people and their diets, I was reminded of this, which made me smile.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Relatedly, it makes me sad that my actual cat doesn't get it when I say to him, "OH HAI." Or "O RLY?"

Heh. You should have seen me last night earnestly explaining to the dog "but you no can has pie."

Also "no pie for you!" and "no [Lucy], that's my pecan pie" channeling the Soup Nazi and Cartman respectively.

I think I was a little loopy last night.

Bush incoherently praises Odierno for ’snatching defeat.’

Today, President Bush thanked Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, who until recently served as the No. 2 commander in Iraq, for his service in Iraq. In attempting to apply the phrase “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory,” Bush offered this nonsensical praise for Odierno:

That would probably sting more if they hadn't fucked up the phrase themselves in reporting on it.

Life is good. [link]

Because Gracie is off the ventilator, at least part-time. [link] The blue tube is just blowing humidified air past her trache tube, not forcing breaths. She's pretty happy with it.
