My sisters gave birth um, 20 years before I did. You'd think I would have headed their warnings.

I dunno. I find iTunes and my iPod easy and user-friendly, and oh god, sweet wonderful iPod, don't die before I can afford a swanky 160GB replacement!
those are gorgeous Laura.
I am shrift wrt iThings.
Sue, that is just annoying - I am pretty sure I do not need to know about co-workers sizes/diets/starving unless they are also close friends. It is too much of a touchy subject for most people.
From Emily's link about teacher pay: "If you’re putting all of your resources into teachers in the classroom, are you shorting some of the other aspects of what a good school requires?"
Isn't the ideal a teacher on one end of a log and a student on the other?
The condom video is my favorite infomercial ever.

That was Sophia. But I agree, it's annoying.
Also annoying: skinny people complaining about being fat, anyone on a diet getting pissy if someone else brings in treats, people commenting on your lunch vis a vis your dieting situation "Oh a salad, you must be watching your weight." "Pizza for lunch again? You're going to puff right up if you keep eating like that."

Me too, although I've only owned the iPods with displays.
I think iTunes is pretty good, so I don't mind being "forced" to use it. I love how it tracks how many times I've played each song and when the last time was, so I can create all sorts of smart playlists using this info.
people commenting on your lunch vis a vis your dieting situation
I think commenting on someone's lunch in any way except to say "that looks/smells delicious" is kind of rude.
Also, when you call someone to clarify a question you have, they should just give you a simple easy answer, all wrapped in a bow! They should not open a huge can of worms and make you think harder!!!

Indeed. I was actually giving myself pats on the back last week when my department had cupcakes and I didn't have one. I just didn't have one, rather than getting into anything about why or whatever.

Hey! It's part of my job to not give students answers but to make them think harder!
