I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I still have my Merlin, and a few years ago I showed it to my nephew, as an example if the Electronic games I had growing up. He could not have thought it lamer.

Hee!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

it taught me that Tic Tac Toe gets really boring about 3 seconds after you figure out how to force a tie every time, ages before War Games came out.

'Greetings, Professor Faulken. How about a nice game of chess?"

hip deep in pie

My nephew thought I was BS-ing him when I told him Merlin was "state of the art" when I was 10-11. It was pretty funny

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can I get some love for the Speak & Spell?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Can I get some love for the Speak & Spell?

We didn't have that. I think I developed an irrational dislike of that game after E.T. used it to phone home....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I *always* wanted a Speak & Spell! My friend had one and I would play with it for HOURS. I attribute my spelling bee success to it.

Can I get some love for Simon?? [link]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can I get some love for Simon??

Many wasted hours, there. Aw, yeah.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I had Auto Race, Football II, Space Alert, and Merlin for sure. Can't remember what else. But my neighbor friends had Football I, Baseball, Hockey, Soccer, AND Basketball.

We were awesome.

I still very clearly getting my little duffel bag stolen at Waikiki Beach while I was swimming, sometime in the early 80's. My wallet, my high school duffel. And the two things I was most tragic about losing? My Football II, and my Dallas Cowboys World Champions Super Bowl XII baseball cap.
