Every day she managed to pick her camera up and do something with it.
That is a great set. As is yours! I only managed about a week. Maybe I'll try again this summer when things are calmer.

Wow. She takes great photos, light and shadow contrast, and interesting composition. I can't even take pictures of other people like that, much less timed self-portraits.

Amazing. I feel like I should get my camera out and at least try.
Timelies all!
I could contribute some Jonathan Coulton songs to the earworm discussion. (We're going to see him Friday, so I fully expect to have a number of his songs stuck in my head afterwards)
We're going to see him Friday
So jealous!
Eventful keeps sending me "Jonathan Coulton is playing in your area!" notices and then when I click through, it turns out he's playing in, like, Philadelphia. Which is not what I consider "my area," since I live in BROOKLYN. WHERE HE ALSO LIVES. LESS THAN A MILE FROM HERE.
Guy needs to book some hometown shows is all I'm saying.
D is failing to fall asleep in his room right now. He's probably standing up in his crib, since I can hear him yelling. But since he bit me earlier (three guesses where and the first two don't count), I'm inclined to let him cry it out a little longer.
Oh wow, Allyson, that's awesome!
I had other thoughts. Work ate them.
Pictures pretty?
Okay, I need some help. How do I tell when a pecan pie is done?
Jeez, quiet.
So I've been thinking about this a couple of days. Not obsessing, just curious. At a meeting with a senior (as in, position above me) new hire, I mentioned something about how we did stuff 10 years ago. Her reaction? "What, they hired people still in high school?" I'm trying to decide between flattery (pure vanity) and insult (shit, I've done so little since then!) The impulse was probably the first. She's probably my age (and looks my age! so weird perception things happening.)
Anyway, it's just got me thinking. There's been other stuff on that line of thought popping up a lot lately (like the positively teenage-looking new analyst [an italian. I swear, the italian group hires the most attractive damned people. There hasn't been a single average among them and it is FREAKY] assuming I was also new and junior this morning, which I'm sure provoked further musings.
How do I tell when a pecan pie is done?
Golden brown and not burnt on top?! Sorry, I resort to times and it doesn't look burnt.
I don't think a slightly undercooked pecan pie would be that noticeable.
I made a chocolate pecan pie today. I was bubbly, but solid looking - if that makes sense. Honestly, it is for a co-worker leaving,so I won't really know until tomorrow. ( time 55 min in a good oven )
