We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Way to go, Superstar Allyson!! I'll have to brag on you at the bookstore, and see if I can pull your book out for display somewhere prominent.

Going back really quickly to laundry issues, I was able to borrow a quarter from another resident/laundry doer in the laundry room this morning and dry those really wet clothes a second time, as well as do the last load I didn't have room for the first time around. I still have two more loads to do later this week, so I have to snag 14 more quarters ($1 for wash, $.75 to dry for 45 minutes) and make sure I don't use that not-spinning-well washer this time. Oh, and get that $1 that the washer ate back from the rental office.

I did have a drying rack full of shirts that I always airdry due to shrinkage issues (they always seem to lose 3-4 inches in length when I machine-dry them, and with my long torso, that's the last thing I need), but underwear, towels, pants, nightshirts, and sweats, I prefer to machine dry for the toasty warmness and no wrinkling.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Does anyone have a link to that site that discusses the use of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on TV as emotional shorthand, and sort of charts the progress of the voers. I cannot find it!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

YAY ALLYSON!!! And I hope your back feels better ASAP.

Does anyone have a link to that site that discusses the use of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on TV as emotional shorthand,

Sadly, no, but Plei might. I did just post to my LJ that I really want to hear My Chemical Romance do a balls-out cover of it.

I think I would die.

I really want an actual moritorium on any version of Hallelujah for at least 5 years.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Sadly, no, but Plei might.

There was a link to it in my LJ a while back. Don't have it off the top of my head, but the author came and responded to the discussion, and was actually pretty cool about it.
