Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

And then I think, "what the hell is urgent care going to do for a pulled muscle?"

In my case, they shot me up with happy drugs and sent me home.

Mmmm...happy drugs...blargleargleargle...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I dry in my living room, it usually just takes overnight, sometimes an extra day while I am at work, and then the dryers get put away until the next week.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, they could give you some Flexeril and that would make it worth the trip.

not your mom's socks.

I think I pulled a muscle in the middle of my back.

how long has it been since you played bumpercars without wanting to? Last week?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I airdry my delicates, and for many of them it takes more than overnight. Wholesale airdrying is not practical for me. Which is a shame, because those dryers eat money. Still, I invested in dryer balls, and I swear they make the difference between running a heavy load through twice or once.

Allyson--you should always get back pain checked out. It could be a dozen things, and some of them more readily treatable than rest, ice, compression, and the near impossible elevation.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So it looks like the Dems may take it all the way to the convention. *sigh* I was kinda hoping Hilary would get knocked out of the race last night, not so much for her (though there is some of that), but so the Dems could get busy worrying about McCain and the GOP smear machine instead of each other.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am eating ginger snaps instead of working.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Allyson, they could give you some Flexeril and that would make it worth the trip.

I don't know what that is. I can't take narcotics...whatever they do to help pain in the short term is not worth the way it messes with my antidepressants, and I'm just starting to feel much better, mentally.

I'm not even sure where urgent care IS.

I'm leaning toward going, though, because this is RIDIC.

I think it's just from helping Kat move, I wasn't careful enough when I was lifting the heavy stuff. Dumb me.

I just don't understand how it has gotten WORSE.

It stiffens overnight.

Flexeril is a muscle relaxant.

I know where my immobile-on-the-floor-breathing-shallowly backpain comes from, I'm a big old grin-and-bear-it type who martyrs herself needlessly to pain, and so I say do not do as I do, especially since you are unsure of the source ( wreck, moving, other?) : get it checked out.

That kind of pain sucks.
