I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, how was the crossword tourny?

Fun! Although it was harder than I expected. Joe Boucher was there!

Fuck -- iTunes just went screwy on me again. I am ALL SET with this shit. I guess I should really have a backup.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A friend of mine just texted that they put the rankings up from today, and I'm 448, out of 700+, so I'm feeling pretty good about that.

woohoo! go you!

mac is being pretty emotional for the last few days. needing lots of consoling and reassurance and one on one time. He almost did not go with his uncle today, but thankfully he did. I got 3 errands done and had about 30 pounds of stuff in my backpack when all was done. We got a letter from his family in Eth and I debated telling him about it, but I did. He didn't ask to see it for over an hour, but he has now looked at the picture they sent and had me read the letter. I am not sure we will ever feel like we know the full story of his family 100%. There are two people in the photo he says he does not know. There was talk when we were over there of a half sister, but he is adamant that he was the only child in the house. I am letting him be alone and watch tv which is what he wants, but I fear we may have a weepy bedtime.

Art Crawl!!!

OMG, I've been trying to download an upgrade for itunes since sometime last night. FINALLY got about halfway done and my connection went bye-bye.

This is just never going to happen is it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, poor belle-house!

I'm finally watching the Israel episode of Fight Quest where one prsenter goes with the soldiers and trains with the IDF, and one lucky lucky guy goes with the chick and does the public sector krav.

I think the first thing she did was elbow him in the face. For real.

I would so love to steal drills from this for class, except they've all already seen it.

Poor mac, that's so tough. Dang.

Jesse, that's darn good for your first time at the convention!!

It is literally stunning how fast the top-tier people are. The first puzzle was easy, but I don't think I could have written gibberish in each square by the time they were done.
