You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Belated birthday wishes from me (though on-time ones to Jon). I really am going to do a better job of keeping up, at least as soon as my third class ends.

On March 25th. Do you think I have it marked on my calendar? You might just be right....

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Jon!

Sox, I was checking Owen's backpack for school yesterday and found his Valentine treats from his class party. I totally spaced and forgot to send ANYTHING--and there are only six kids in his class. I felt like a giant ass because, yes, I HAD gotten notice of a Valentine's party before last Thursday and still failed to send anything.

!!!!!! This is a plot, in the middle of February, to break our will. That is what it is. Unfair, I say.

And there I was, apologizing to her teacher, who'd just said "Iris was crying because she didn't have her valentines to give to everyone" (we'd started making some, but burned them up on family and neighbor-friends.... and somehow, I thought it was optional.) NOOOO. Teacher concluded with "we can have another valentine's day whenever you're ready."

::headdesk::

Granted, there weren't 21 cards in her bag (How in the world do parents get Toddlers to "sign" 22 cards?) so I don't think I'm the only one who was scolded. Still - conspiracy!

::checks mailbox::cries:: She's still mad at me for also having a November birthday, isn't she? I may never get back in her good graces.

Happy Birthday, Jon!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Jon!

Don't worry Sox, I also skipped Valentines for the kids this year, mostly because they were out sick anyway. But our school tends to say if you bring cards, bring them for the whole class, not you must bring them.

Speaking of preschool, they are filming something at our class today. Not sure what that means other than needing to sign a release form for each kid.
