My sister took care of framing the cross-stitch wedding piece I made for her and my BIL last fall--it ended up costing $80 after the half-off coupon from Michaels, but according to Mom who is visiting there now, it looks gorgeous and is prominently displayed in their living room.
I've got several other cross-stitch pieces I'd love to frame for my apartment, but I'm not going to spend that kind of money, that's for sure!
I have a mat cutter, but I suck at it.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Beverly!
Lesson learned: Nova-kitty has not calmed down enough to be allowed in the bedroom at night. Sure, having her curled up to me, purring like a motorboat, as I fall asleep is kinda soothing. The middle-of-the-night excursion under the covers was not.
I'm finally crawling out from under the pile o' stuff that accumulated during the weekend when I ran around Boskone, and the holiday Monday when I had to spend 11 hours in classes.
I get another loooong day tomorrow as a reward.
Sick day today. Mostly slept and worked on catching up in the SPN thread.
Happy Birthday, Beverly!!
That's all I got.
Aw Jen. Feel better, and thanks for the wishes.
Does this take the whole steampunk thing too far? Steampunk taxidermy
So I'm home, cleaning, and my phone rings because someone is at the door and I didn't hear them knocking.
It is neighborgirl T. She made me this over the weekend: [link] Spoiler for those who haven't looked
she fell all over herself apologizing for the H. She didn't realize I used the other spelling until she was done.
Know what? This is one time I don't mind at all.
I hugged her to pieces and just maybe teared up. Maybe.
I'm so very lucky.
