and here was the douchbag's response: [link]
He's such a fuckwit. He claims he used Obama's middle name simply to "identify the candidate." Because there are so many *other* Barak Obamas running for president. Like Barak Abercrombie Obama, Barak Quentin Obama, and Barak "Chubby" Vern Obama.
Saying that he used Obama's middle name simply to identify the candidate just leads to the next reasonable question: why didn't he use McCain's middle name? I mean, wouldn't any warm-up guy *want* to properly identify the person he's warming the crowd up for?
Choad.
That Barak Abercrombie Obama is kind of a dick, you gotta admit.
I really hope this distancing from the harpee wingnut crowd works well for McCain. I really really do. It will go a long way to improving the discourse if he can prove them irrelevant to success for conservatives, most of whom I am sure don't want Coulter or Cunningham speaking for them, any more than I want Michael Moore speaking for me.

But Barak "Chubby" Vern Obama -- he's SMOOV.
The lead for the Buckley obit in the NY Times.
William F. Buckley Jr., who marshaled polysyllabic exuberance, famously arched eyebrows and a refined, perspicacious mind to elevate conservatism to the center of American political discourse, died Wednesday at his home in Stamford, Conn.
I prefer Barak "Barry" Zedediah Obama, myself. Very nice man. Always with the smile.

That's pretty much brilliant.
I've arranged my life so I can take pub. trans. to everything if I so choose - which translates into radically higher living expenses, what with the living in SF, but it's nice. I took a cable car 3 times yesterday. Whee!
Part of why I want to move is that, while my house is directly on a busline, it's directly on a route notorious for gropers and people who light up the crack pipe in the back of the bus.
Plus it's one of those routes that takes freaking forever.
But mostly? It's the groper/crackpipe issue that has me avoiding that route whenever possible. (I do half my commute in the car, and then connect with the bus. It works. And avoids the crackpipes.)
