that's a little too much like Groundhog Day for my liking.

ita has a 90-minute conference call/meeting every single day? The SAME meeting? Egads.
Well, it is the same meeting but it's not always 90 minutes. Today it went on for 2hrs and 40 minutes. I'm so glad I was working from home. Not only could I get work done, but there's no way I wouldn't be visibly sleeping in that conference room. Jaysus.

This does not improve my feeling about the meeting.
Ouch.
Performance review went well. Kind of staggeringly good commentary in my end-of-year, really. And the things I got dinged on were a) small and b) fair cops, so I can't complain. 5% boost in salary and bonus eligibility for next year, which is actually cool given the industry and the economy. And my bonus for this year is actually more than double my "target" (which is actually on the small side since I bargained that away for more salary when I came here).
I have more gold in my mouth than I do gold jewelry. This strikes me as funny. (I don't know if I have any gold jewelry.)
Yay, brenda!
I'm kinda in a bad mood born of disagreeing with the boss. It's my job to make the call and I'm very much a "rip that bandaid off" or "just get it all done at once" and they...aren't. But 3 < 4 days. It just is. So saying that 4 is of less impact just isn't true.

yeah, I called my insurance company to insure the new 'puter ($8/year for $3k in coverage, nice). They told me that I was only covered for jewelry loss for up to $1000, did I need more? Har.

Jaysus.
Actually, I have 60 pairs of earrings, the majority handcrafted, silver and/or semi(semi?) precious stone (mainly garnet, amber, amethyst and turquoise.) The same can be said of most of my necklaces and bracelets, but I have fewer of those. Replacement value easily exceeds $1K.
Which tells me it's another thing I need to check on my rental insurance.
I also have more gold in my mouth than I have in jewelry. I'm pretty sure that goes for silver, too.
I'm having one of those days where I'm certain that everyone thinks I'm dumb.
Ever have those days? I just had that day.
