I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There was nothing "fashion" about those boots, Lori.

Did I tell you people about the one-act I saw the other week that had Justice (blindfolded lady, holding scales and sword) being killed in a modern office, to be replaced by Dick Cheney? It was horror, obviously.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Good luck to you, Kristin! I know nothing about personal statements, but loads about Chaucer and wish I could go, too. (Yesterday's Jeopardy--don't know if it was the GSN rerun or the first-run ep, though; I DVR both--had a Chaucer category that all three of the contestants avoided to the very end, and they only got through two of the questions before running out of time, which I was bummed about, damnit! They were right to avoid it, since none of them could name the Wife of Bath. Idiots.)

My head now has a resale value more than it did half an hour ago.

And there will be insurance "discussions" with their insurance lady. So I'm maybe not broken up all the way yet.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I apparently am incapable of writing a scholarly personal statement.

ICK! While the context is wildly different, I'd be happy to send you mine if you think it might help.

OMG you guys, I can't believe it took me this long to realize who Katherine Heigl looked like at the Oscars (and more generally, recently): KIMBER! From Nip/Tuck!

I mean, right???

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I will just say "What Vortex said" re: A Raisin In The Sun. I love that play, I've seen it done extremely well, and it hurt to watch P. Diddy mangle it.

Ditto

Yes, the weather here is Florida is the definition of "uck". I'm just hoping the power holds out. DH was quite worried about work tonight. With the power outages on the other side of the state, the plants he work at will be more than busy. The temp is supposed to drop more than 20 degrees by tomorrow. I'm hoping they cancel school for tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

I Tivo'd Raisin; housemate loved it but he is a sap. ;)

I could totally see the actor who played Wire's Bodie in the role, and I join Erika in the Bodie love.

I love that he's a soldier on the corner but has watched enough Oprah that his vocabulary contains "insight"
