Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

if leading men can have "interesting" faces as long as they can act, leading ladies should be able to as well.

No arguments here. Make no mistake - my white-hot burning loathing for RZ is entirely based on her atrocious acting. I didn't hate her face until she decided to give up eating.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have to admit, I think RZ was great in Bridget Jones. That sort of blithely cluelessness worked in that movie.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, she worked my last nerve in Cuba Gooding Jr. Dances Around Naked and Shouts Catchphrases While Tom Cruise Looks On Hungrily, but I actually thought she was the best thing about the Bridget Jones movies. Which is not an insignificant compliment when those movies featured Jim Broadbent, Colin Firth, and Shirely Henderson.

Because books.

I thought RZ was lovely in Jerry Macguire -- very soft and natural and pretty. I don't know what happened after that.

I honestly have no beef with her acting, and I liked her very much in Chicago and Nurse Betty and Bridget Jones, but she looks so hard and weird and kind of bitter now. And, you know, squinty.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My take on RZ is she's a pleasant actress, I like a lot of her films. She's not a beauty, but she's cute. I just wish she stopped trying to do glamorous because I don't think it suits her. I wish she'd stick to charming and cute.

Oy. Such a long work day for me. So wanting to embrace my inner lazy.

Swouncing

Skipping lots and lots (oh, I wish I didn't skip the dresses-talk. That's my favorite part of any ceremony award, reading the Buffistas dresses-talk), to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Gadget_Girl's birthday.

Happy birthday! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I can't BELIEVE you're still talking about the Oscars!

Anyway, it would take a lot of lousy acting to reverse my fondness for RZ because I first encountered her in The Whole Wide World which is SUCH an excellent movie.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm thinking of one with broader and shorter leaves.

Philodendron?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I like both Renee Zellwegger and Diane Weist.

And Colin Firth, in case anyone was wondering.
