Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Well, I was sort of watching the show while cooking and then eating dinner and doing my share of dealing with intermittent Annabel tantrums (she was one temperamental child this weekend) so maybe I just wasn't focused enough on "Falling Slowly" to get the appeal. The August Rush song was the only one that made me stop what I was doing to listen, but, like I said, that could just be my taste/genre preferences.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Falling Slowly was beautiful. Never heard it and never heard of the film it's from before last night. I may have to correct that. I'm always happy when an actual stand-alone song written by musicians wins Best Song, rather than a song written expressly for a scene or what have you by an external songwriter. If that makes any sense at all.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We should just insert a picture of the Daily Puppy in the top right corner of each b.org page.

Of course, we'd need to give equal time to kittens....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have garlic hummus and carrots.

Hummus and carrots is the best lunch ever and it makes me sad hummus doesn't have more protein.

I am just not used to having people all around and foot traffic going by my cubicle. I think our stint in the sub-basement reinforced my already robust misanthropy.

not your mom's socks.

blarg. I'm bringing gronky back.

My minion missed the message about me not being in the conference call at 12:30 because the person who had called the meeting (not on staff) had done no work and - moreover - was not planning on doing any. Just making some. Which I wanted to avoid and come back later with "thank you but there is no way this can fit in the schedule."

Hee! Jimmy Kimmel's response to Sarah's "I'm F**king Matt Damon" video, and it's almost as funny (equally NSFW in terms of language, so put on your headphones when watching!). [link]
