Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Thanks for the link, Kevin. Those are some interesting changes that they made.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yeah. The Powerpointesque feel is gone, the 'hot chicks' line is replaced, a few of the shots are swapped around. The random shots of Buffy are gone. Oh, and the music is new. There's still a jumpy cut during one of Adelle's lines, but otherwise it looks a lot better now.

I liked the Foo Fighters music, though.

It may be 3am and I might be slightly annoyed, but I'm still excited seeing the trailer.

One thing the show does make me wonder - is it a way of talking about being a writer/director? 'cos, like, you set up a US TV show, you get a bunch of pretty men and women to read your lines and behave exactly like you want and do what you say. Then pay them for their services. They go home, they forget about it (probably) and move onto the next gig.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

The dolls "names" makes me wonder how many of them there are. If you start at the beginning of the phonetic alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, etc.) it takes a while before you get to Victor and Sierra (V and S.) And judging by ED's character being Echo, she must be one of the first. That's assuming they started at the beginning and named them all alphabetically. Lot's of stuff to ponder. Dang, I want this show, now!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They go home, they forget about it (probably) and move onto the next gig.

The actors I know don't lose themselves in their characters nor forget the experiences anywhere near comparably enough to draw much of a parallel.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The random shots of Buffy are gone.

I totally don't remember there being shots of Buffy in the first trailer.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

There was one shot of Faith punching Buffy (from "Who Are You," appropriately enough) right after the scene of Eliza speaking Spanish.

No way! It played kind of jerky on my computer, so I guess I just assumed it was two random women (or an Active and a random woman) fighting.
