Tamara points out exactly what is lovely about the diversity of humanity! I think the premise of Dollhouse is icky (and I hated The Inside [sorry, Tim]). It just wasn't TV for me, which is fine. There is plenty of TV that I don't feel the love on.
Oddly, I did LOVE Alias, though. Pretty people in fun costumes and wigs and things go boom! It wasn't great TV though.

My Trust in Joss is limited to trusting that there are other people out there who would probably do it worse.

Well sure, there's also that, and I've no idea how they'll address the ick. I'm certain it will be well-written, because the staff is made of awesome. I'm also wary of how Joss deals with certain Luke and Laura sort of issues and the AR in the BR in SR issues that this would seem to trip itself over.

Oddly, that is what it means on IMDB. That's how the do TV shows. Joss's name goes on every episode under "writers" as the "creator."
IMDB lists Joss as "creator" -- which I've always read as "of the series", but I'm definitely prone to missing some of these fine points.

Anyway, I really don't want to get into a discussion of what I think about Joss' feminist credentials, so I think I'd better step away from this thread for a while.

Joss has oft said in interviews the thing which creeps him out most in TV is the 'reset' factor. You know, at the end of Star Trek you know nobody will remember anything the next episode, likely.
Dollhouse is about the reset factor.
One fear I have - the fact sex is involved in the show. I think the whole point is to show 'This. Is. Wrong.', to some extent, but idea of spending many episodes watching women being treated as holes and men as cocks is personally troublesome.
