Not terribly confused, I don't think. If you want context, I could fill you in.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Cool. I've always really enjoyed Kristen's episodes of other shows and don't want to miss out!
Tonight's 9-1-1 finale was written by Tim, and Charisma Carpenter is guest starring in it.
In the NYTimes TV newsletter on Monday, Margaret Lyons called 9-1-1 "perhaps the most ridiculous show on network television today" and apparently got a ton of negative email. Which is hilarious, because it is ridiculous! In the best possible way, which she did not say. But still -- who is arguing that it's not ridiculous?
I don't think it's the most ridiculous, but it is crazy and wonderful.
It's clearly not JUST ridiculous, but is there a better word to describe the CC vignette?
Oh, yeah. The calls are often ridiculous.
Well FOX either doesn't think it's ridiculous, or thinks it's the right kind of ridiculous. They picked up a spinoff: 911: Lone Star. Rob Lowe stars as a "sophisticated" NYC cop who relocates to Austin, TX, along with his son. It will premiere sometime in the 2019-20 television season. Minear is listed as a creator and EP (along with Murphy and Falchuk). [link]
Of course it's the right kind of ridiculous! I think my point, and Margaret Lyons's, is that it's ridiculous on purpose. That is not an insult.
It's one of the top rated shows on the network right now. So, the spin-off makes perfect sense.
